2022 MAC Summer Policy Summit
Commissioners and other country leaders will learn about addressing the workforce housing challenge, benefits of recreation through trail connectivity, maximizing infrastructure dollars and the state of Michigan’s politics in 2022. This event is offered in-person and via Zoom Webinar.
The summit will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Courtyard Marriott Lansing Downtown, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking for in-person attendees; continental breakfast and lunch are covered.

A recent report by the Citizens Research Council found that 65 counties (78%) increased taxes from 2004 to 2020, several by 2 or more mills. With counties relying so much on such elections to address their funding issues, this breakout is designed to provide practical information and tips for counties that are considering a millage election in coming years.
2:00 - 3:00 PM | Maximizing Your Infrastructure Dollars
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) is responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive system for state licensing and federal certification to protect the health, safety, and welfare of individuals receiving care and services in or from health care providers. Licensed and certified providers must comply with these state and federal regulations to operate and offer services. This educational presentation will assist providers in a better understanding the regulatory processes and changes.
